Armenian lawmaker to Defense Minister: Why don’t you demand a reply from the CSTO? (video)
During today’s question-and-answer session with the government, Armenian lawmaker Tev Poghosyan asked Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan to comment on the ongoing tensions on Armenia’s border with Azerbaijan. “Why don’t you demand a reply from the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization)?” the lawmaker asked. “Our neighbours only want to talk to in the language of force, but we need a ceasefire to start dialogue. International investigation needs to be launched to enable the co-chairs to assess the situation. During the European games, as well as the elections to the Milli Majlis on November 1, we showed restraint, forbade shooting, but they are showing their true face and increasing the degree on the day of the constitutional referendum in Armenia,” Minister Ohanyan said.
