People’s Artist of Armenia Leonid Yengibaryan would turn 80 in 2015. On this occasion, the Imperial Circus of St. Petersburg will perform in Armenia from August 29 to October 4 at the invitation of the Yerevan Circus. “We want to celebrate Yengibaryan’s birthday in due order, a man who became a phenomenon in the Armenian circus. The circus will be located in the area of the former dolphinarium at Komitas Park. The entrance will be free on the first day. The Imperial Circus is preparing an extraordinary program for Armenian spectators,” said Sos Petrosyan, Director of the Yerevan Circus. He added that more surprises are awaiting Armenian spectators in the near future. “We are going to reopen the Yerevan Circus by the end of next year. The construction has resumed at a great pace. As a pupil of Leonid Yengibaryan, I wish we would hold an international circus festival at the new circus after Leonid Yengibaryan.”
