Lawmaker: Gazprom Armenia inflated costs (video)
Economist Mikael Melkumyan says a number of problems associated with gas supply costs are exaggerated. “Let us consider the wages of Gazprom Armenia CJSC,” says the lawmaker from the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK). The average salary in the Company has increased from AMD 119 000 to AMD 227 000. Besides, Gazprom Armenia has recruited more than 1000 new employees, and now 5780 people work there. The question arises whether it is necessary to add the number of employees? It is true that more families began using gas in their homes but the volume of gas imports has remained much the same. Nor has the quality of gas-related services improved. What was the aim of recruiting more workers?” said the MP.
