Armenia, EU sign documents
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan today participated in the official signing ceremony of three documents between Armenia and the European Union (EU) at the Armenian Government. The documents include the €10-million loan agreement for the Caucasus Electricity Transmission Network project [signed by Armenian Minister of Finance Gagik Khachatryan and Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Wilhelm Molterer]; the memorandum of understanding on the Caucasus Electricity Transmission Network project [signed by Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan and Head of EU Delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea, Wilhelm Molterer]; and the contribution agreement on Armenia’s membership in the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership Fund [signed by Yervand Zakharyan and E5P Manager Anders Lund ]. Hovik Abrahamyan welcomed the signing of the documents, and expressed confidence that they would greatly contribute to Armenia-EU relations and the country’s economic development.
