Armenia allows Azerbaijan to retrieve body of saboteur
Tension persisted on Armenia’s border with Azerbaijan after Sunday’s infiltration attempt by Azerbaijani armed forces in the northeastern region of Tavush, Armenia’s Defense Ministry Spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan said on Monday. He said Armenian forces had given adequate rebuff to the enemy. ‘In compliance with the international humanitarian law, Armenia’s Armed Forces, allowed the Azerbaijani side to remove the body of an Azerbaijani commando left in the area between posts,” said Artsrun Hovhannisyan Azerbaijani troops attempted another act of sabotage on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border at around 5.30 pm, on January 11.
