Activist: Vladimir Gasparyan 'puts on shows' every day (video)
Chef of the Armenian Police Vladimir Gasparyan makes a show on TV every day by saying that the police in the country have undergone serious changes, says Arayik Harutyunyan, a member of the Civil Contract movement. “I think that only the police uniform has changed in this period,” he said on Wednesday during a discussion held at the Media Centre NGO. “You statements do not correspond to reality. You had better work with those who pretend to be local authorities,” David Manukyan, a member of Dem Am! (I Am Against) Initiative, said addressing his words to Mr Gasparyan. Human rights activist Artak Zeynalyan reminds that one of the main functions of the police is to ensure the normal process of rallies and assemblies without any interference.
