Joining the EEU will cause problems at the procurement market

Armenia has been member of World Trade Organization's agreement on state procurement since September, 2011. “By the legislative standards of state procurement Armenia has already approached to the European,”- says “Transparency International” public organization expert Artak Manukyan and adds with regret that joining the EEU is a regress for the sphere in Armenia, “When we are a member of the WTO, we take responsibility that we will apply the same approaches to the domestic producers as to the importing companies. But it is clearly noted in Russian law, that 15 percent privilege is give to domestic producers.” Mr. Manukyan is sure that by joining the EEU Armenia must get used to Russian standards of that sphere, “In fact now there is a law, which says “no discrimination”, but then we are going to join a union, where there is discrimination.” Artak Manukyan doesn’t know how the Government will solve this disagreement, “Armenia doesn’t have such political and legal power to decide what to do.”
