Robert Hovhannisyan finishes 2nd at Bad Wiessee Chess Tournament
Armenian chess player Robert Hovhannisyan has tied his final round game against Ante Saric (Croatia) at the Bad Wiessee Chess Tournament in Germany. Encouraged by the leaders’ loss, U.S. GM Aleksandr Lenderman beat his contender to equal the two leaders of the tournament with 7,5 points and later left them behind with best tie-break score. Robert Hovhannisyan came 2nd and was awarded 2000 Euros. Armenia’s HRant Melkumyan was 8th with 7 points and received 600 Euros.
