Karen H. Grigoryan defeated the leader
Armenian chess player Karen H. Grigoryan continues to perform successfully at World Junior Chess Championship in India. Today in the 8th round our 19-year-old Grand Master defeated the leader, Peruvian Cori Jorge. Karen H. Grigoryan scored 6.5 points and shares 1-3 places with Chinese Lu Shanglei and Wei Yi. On October 15 in the 9th round our chess player will play with Wei Yi. FIDE Master Maria Gevorgyan, presenting Armenia at World Junior Chess Championship, has 3.5 points and is on the 37th place. For reaching the leaders Maria Gevorgyan must win in all other rounds.
