Russian soldier pleads guilty to killing fellow serviceman

Armenia and Russia have launched criminal proceedings in connection with the death of Ivan Novikov, a Russian soldier serving in the Russian military base in Armenia’s Gyumri city. Novikov was found killed on Monday morning in the vicinities of Mother Armenia monument. Another Russian soldier serving in the same military base has been detained on suspicion of murdering fellow serviceman. He has pleaded guilty to the crime. Pastinfo news agency reports that the cause of the death was a domestic dispute.
