Yerevan Circus to perform in Artsakh
The Yerevan Circus will travel to the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic where it will stage a number of performances in capital Stepanakert and other towns from June 30 to July 6. Performances will also be held at several military bases in Artsakh at the initiative of the Armenian defense Ministry.
The tour is organized with the assistance of the Artsakh Ministry of Culture.
The foundations of the Yerevan circus building will be laid in the coming days. The new building will stand in lieu of the previous one which was pulled down in 2012. The building has not been repaired since 1962.
Circus repair works were launched in August 2011. According to an agreement signed with Yerevan Municipality, the works are carried out by Tashir group of companies, with the investment fund totaling USD 6 mln. The construction will finish at the end of 2014.
