The sperm has been brought for a foreigner
The head of the research centre of health maintenance of mother and baby Georgi Okoev told journalists today that 2mg and not 2kg of sperm has been brought to Armenia.
Okoev says, that there was misunderstanding, as only 2mg sperm was imported and that was for a foreign woman.
Several days ago, MP Artsvik Minasyan had announced that 2kg sperm had been imported into Armenia from Israel. Then the State Revenue Committee had denied the information, stating that the sperm had been imported from Australia.
"I have never seen in my professional career Armenian couples wanting a foreign donor for artificial insemination. On the contrary, they discuss for hours the colour of hair, height, etc.", Georgi Okoev says.
