The clarification of Ministry of Defense
Some e- media and in particular iditord.org has spread information about violations connected with participation of military serviceman in Yerevan Elders Council elections. Yerkir.am has spread information that "the families of servicemen are persuaded to vote for one of the candidates, saying that it is "the order of MoD", and that voters are getting money near the MoD car near the 7/17 precinct in Knaker-Zeytun".
The above-stated information does not correspond to reality and contains several inaccuracies. First of all, there is no 7/17 precinct in Kanaker-Zeytun, it is in Malatia-Sebastia. Concerning the "MoD car", its driver Khachatur Sargsyan is registered in 3/17 precinct in Kanaker-Zeytun where he has realized his civil duty today.
Groundless, incorrect "alarms" concerning the participation of military servicemen in the elections are considered to be misinformation and will not receive appropriate respond by MoD of RA.
