Whom do they give the flats of Gavar orphanage alumni?
The building which was built for the alumni of Gavar orphanage is being sold to other people. Today the alumni of Gavar orphanage told about this near the government building.
"The Prime Minister visited us two years ago and we said, that we wanted to have our flats. The building will be complete in two months, but it is already being sold", said Gayane Sahakyan, an alumnus from Gavar orphanage.
Today, after the government session, the orphanage alumni asked about it the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Artem Asatryan, who responded, "I told you, we will come and see the thing at the place, and then we will tell you about the solution".
This uncertain answer made orphanage alumni's anxiety only deeper. Where should live an alumnus after leaving the orphanage?
In different years, alumni from Gavar, Sovetashen and Gyumri orphanages have settled mainly in former hostels, which are in desolate condition.
Former alumni of the orphanage have even suggested to reconstruct the hostel with their own hands and move there. This suggestion was also neglected.
"We have decided to go to the president, to chuck our passports and tell him that we are leaving this country, it is not for us. If you do not have job, do not have a house, do not have anything in a country, then that country is not yours", said Igor Karamanyan, a former alumnus from Gavar orphanage.
