Armenia International Airports has issued a statement in which the company said that it continues to work actively with other operating air companies to fill the gap created in the market after the announced bankruptcy of Armavia Air Company.

"Concerned about the situation created over Armavia and despite many losses we suffered [like other interested parties], we continue to work with other airlines to fill the gap in the market.

We have reached arrangements with several companies on the increase of the number of flights. In particular, Austrian Airlines will operate seven flights per week, Czech Airlines and Alitalia - seven and three flights respectively.

Polish LOT Airlines will restart flights in early June operating five flights a week. We are also holding talks with other companies on the increase of flight frequencies.

We also expect to reach an agreement with Fly Dubai Airlines for operating flights every day," reads the statement.
