Contradictory Pope
Argentina's attitude towards the new Pope is not absolute.
Francis 1st holy high-priest (in fact, in the first half of the 16th century French king had also the name Francis 1st). In Argentina they suspect him of cooperation with the junta led by Jorge Videlain 1976. During its 5 years of government Junta kidnapped two priests belonging to the Jesuitical religious community (official name -Christ's society).
There are doubts that the Argentine Archbishop Jorge Mario Bergoglio (new Pope's laic name) at least did nothing to help Jesuit priests. By the way Jesuits have anti-Jewish reputation.
According to the studies of philosopher and historian Khan Arentd Jesuits have introduced anti-Jewishness to Europe. Jesuit "Civiltà Cattolica" Catholic magazine has given great importance to anti-Semitism propaganda.
However, it is also known that during the years of World War II, Belgian Jesuits have saved hundreds of Jewish children from fascists' attacks hiding them in their institutions, as well as providing them false documents about the fact that children were Christian baptized with Christian ritual rules.
Till now there is nothing clear about Jorge Mario Bergoglio's anti-Jewish behavior. Instead information is circulating in internet that 7 years ago in Argentina, he urged Turkey to recognize the Armenian genocide.
By the way, Bergoglio is a unique Jesuit which who the Catholic Church grants archbishop category.
