Armavia planes 'not safe'?
The Yerevan-Beirut flight scheduled to take place on Tuesday evening has not been operated yet. Armenian national carrier, Armavia Company, has already announced that the Beirut airport does not accept the plane unlawfully and the information about the aircraft's technical malfunction is fabricated.
Armavia does not have any unsettled problems with the Lebanese side. Yerkir.am has learnt through its verified sources that Ara Khachaduryan, Charge d'Affaires of the Republic of Lebanon in Armenia, sent a letter to Lebanese officials saying Armavia Company had a number of problems, and its planes are not safe. The Lebanese Armenian said he had heard the information from important people; therefore, he hurried to warn the Lebanese side. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon later forwarded the letter to the Ministry of Transport assigning the latter not to allow the Armenian plane to land on their land.
