Armenian FM receives German Bundestag President
Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian has received President of the German Bundestag Norbert Lammert, who is in Yerevan on an official visit.
The interlocutors lauded the high-level Armenian-German relations in the context of political dialogues, economic cooperation, educational and cultural exchanges. The officials also stressed the importance of an active parliamentary cooperation as an important format for expanding friendly ties.
The Armenian FM and President of the German Bundestag dwelt on Armenia-EU relations, ongoing programs, and continuing talks within the framework of Eastern Partnership.
At the request of the German official, Mr Nalbandian elaborated on the efforts by Armenia and the international community towards settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Norbert Lammert hailed Armenian peacekeepers' service as part of the German military contingent in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan.
