Inconsolable, homeless old people
There are dozens of homeless families in Gyumri, who although have lost their homes after the earthquake, have been living 25 years in temporary shelters without receiving homes from the state.
They are not in the list of registered homeless families, since for some reason they had not managed to be registered by the end of the deadline-November 1, 2008.
Due to the current system they are not subject to compensation. According to our studies, a large number of such homeless people in Gyumri are old people without any help.
