Yerevan man stabs his mother to death
The police in Yerevan today received a report about death of a woman living at 13 Bakunts street. On arriving at the scene, police officers found the body of Hripsime Igityan with a number of injuries on the face and in the chest.
The police found out that the elderly woman had been stabbed to death by her son, 46-year-old Aiga Igityan, who was in Avan psychiatric hospital.
A few hours later, he was already at the police station, confessing the details of the terrifying incident.
Igityan told the police that he had frequently quarreled with his mother but this one had a tragic ending. He also showed the knife with which he had knifed his mother twice.
Investigation is in progress.
