Armenian deputy FM holds meetings in Lithuania

Deputy Foreign Ministry of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who was in Lithuania earlier this week to hold political consultations, met on Tuesday with his Lithuanian counterpart Vytautas Leškevičius.

Lithuanian Foreign Ministry's Special Envoy for Eastern Partnership, Ambassador Vaidotas Verba, as well as high-ranking officials of the Ministry attended the meeting.

The interlocutors dwelt on Armenia-EU cooperation, the implementation of the Armenia-EU Association Agreement, the free trade zone, and bilateral cooperation.
Mr Mnatsakanyan also held a meeting with Dalius Čekuolism, Lithuanian Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Edminas Bagdonas, Head of the Eastern Neighborhood Policy Department, and other officials. The sides discussed issues of bilateral relations, regional problems and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

On the same day, discussions were held at the European Club of the Lithuanian Seimas (Parliament), with the Armenian official speaking about Armenia's foreign policy priorities, cooperation with EU, and the country's outlook on regional security issues and on a variety of international issues.

Mr Mnatsakanyan also held a meeting Gediminas Kirkilas, Chairman of the Committee on European Affairs, Seimas of Lithuania. The officials discussed the development of parliamentary cooperation.
