Artsakh President holds working consultation

On January 18, President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan held a working consultation to discuss the issue of water supply in the republic.

President Bako Sahakyan considered water supply, effective utilization of water resources and their protection as strategic directions touching upon almost all spheres of the state's life and among the key components of the state security.

Regarding the activities to be carried out in this field, Bako Sahakyan emphasized that it is necessary to implement such a complex project, which would reflect the present situation in an objective and proper manner, reveal problems of water supply in all the settlements of the republic and outline the ways of their solutions. The Artsakh President noted that at the basis of the solutions should be sober logic and priorities, which would make possible to improve the situation and create a firm basis for the socioeconomic development.

Bako Sahakyan gave concrete instructions to the heads of the concerned structures for proper implementation of the planned activities.

Prime Minister Ara Haroutunyan, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Arthur Tovmasyan and other officials partook at the consultation, reports Artsakh President's Press Office.
