Drivers to receive bonuses
The Bonus Malus system will be put into force starting January 1, 2013.
This is a system that adjusts the premium paid by a customer according to his individual claim history. It foresees the use of a multiplier or a reduction factor in the calculation of the price compulsory civil liability motor-vehicle insurance policy value with consideration of a client's claim history for the pervious period.
All drivers who starting January 1, 2013, sign an agreement on the compulsory insurance of the civil liability of vehicle owners [what is known by its Armenian abbreviation as APPA] will be offered a 3% discount or bonus if they did not have vehicle accidents in the previous 270 days.
Bonuses for disciplined drivers will be cumulative, the Bureau of Car Insurers of Armenia.
