NATO Week to be held in Armenia

The next "NATO Week" is due in Armenia on November 1-8 within the framework of Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP).

On the sidelines of the events, Gyumri State Pedagogical Institute named after M. Nalbandian will host a meeting with representatives of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, US and UK Embassies and NATO.

On November 5-6, the Congress Hotel in Yerevan will host a seminar devoted to NATO's new strategic concept that identifies "cooperative security" as one of NATO's essential core tasks. Reinforcement of Cooperative Security: Additional Investment to NATO's New Partnership policy workshop will be attended by NATO senior officials, representatives of RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense, political analysts, experts and members of non-governmental organizations.

The participants will visit the peacekeeping brigade of the RA Defense Ministry. Besides, television space bridges will be organized in the MFA building for Armenian peacekeepers in Kosovo and Afghanistan and their families.

The participants of the "NATO Week" are also expected to visit the Crisis Management Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The events will be wrapped up with a round table discussion.
