Jewellery exhibition
Serzh Sargsyan attended Monday the opening ceremony of a jewellery exhibition in the Armenia Marriott hotel in Yerevan.
The works of at least 70 Armenian and foreign companies and individuals were displayed at the exhibition which was attended by President of the World Jewelry Confederation, Gaetano Cavalieri, and Head of the Armenian Jewellers Association(AJA), Gagik Gevorgyan.
A conference to discuss the potentials of jewellery industry in Armenia is due in Yerevan on Oct. 30. The Ministry of Economy is expected to introduce draft strategies aimed at developing jewelry, diamond-cutting and watch-making, and address the possibility of creating a free economic area at Zvartnots International Airport with the purpose of promoting jewellery industries in Armenia.
