Armenian GMs play well in Chigorin Memorial 2012
The annual Chigorin Memorial kicked off in St. Petersburg with rapid chess championships.
Five Armenian chess players are participating in the championships. After six rounds, Armenian GMs Robert Hovhannisyan and Avetik Grigoryan have the best results. They have scored 5 points each and are only 0,5 point behind the tournament leaders Denis Khismatulin and Vladimir Fedoseev (both from Russian).
Chigorin Memorial will be held from Oct. 27 to Nov. 4. It will be s Swiss tournament with time control 90 minutes for 40 moves, 30 seconds increment per move from move 1. A total of 105 titiled players, 63 of them Grandmasters, will participate in the Chigorin Memorial 2012
