Russian military official visits Armenia
Commander-in-chief of the Russian Ground Forces, Colonel-General Vladimir Chirkin, visited Armenia on October 23-25.
The visit aimed to check the readiness of the Russian military base in Armenia and help commanders of the base before the start of the new academic year.
During the visit, Vladimir Chirkin met with Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Yuri Khachaturov.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the activity of the102nd Russian base, as well as military cooperation between Armenia and the Russian Federation.
