Armenian PM attends Yalta-hosted CIS session
A delegation led by Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended on Friday the regular session of the CIS Council of Heads of Government. The agenda of the Yalta-hosted meeting included more than twenty issues.
The participants adopted the action plan for establishment and development of an information society in CIS countries before 2015. They also considered the prospects for cooperation among CIS countries in the field of communication and adopted a complex program of events for 2012-2014 on CIS member states innovation cooperation.
The heads of the governments approved Uzbekistan's membership to Free Trade Agreement, and signed a joint statement envisaging that five countries, including Armenia, had ratified the free trade zone agreement.
The Armenian official also attended the "New Investment Opportunities and Economic Cooperation within the frameworks of CIS" conference held on the sidelines of "Yalta Business Meetings."
The Armenian delegation includes Head of RA Government Staff David Sargsyan, Minister of Finance Vache Gabrielyan, First Deputy Minister of Economy Karine Minasyan, DePuty Foreign Minister Shavrash Kocahryan and other high-ranking officials.
