Armenian FM attends CSTO ministerial meeting
On September 27, in New York, Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Eamon Gilmore, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Irish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade. Present at the meeting was OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier.
The interlocutors discussed the harm done to the Karabakh peace process following the deal between Hungary and Azerbaijan which resulted in the extradition and pardoning of Azerbaijani murderer Ramil Safarov. The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office hailed Armenia's commitment to resolving the Karabakh conflict solely through peaceful talks.
Edward Nalbandian and Eamon Gilmore also addressed issues included in the OSCE agenda, with the Armenian official expressing support for Irish initiatives towards increasing the efficiency of the OSCE.
At the Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan to the United Nations, Edward Nalbandian participated in the meeting of foreign ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) which focused on foreign policy issues of CSTO member states. The participants also discussed the agenda of the upcoming CSTO statutory bodies, reports the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry.
