Russian official satisfied with level of cooperation
Serzh Sargsyan received on Wednesday Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov who is in Armenia to monitor Cooperation-2012 military drills initiated by the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force.
The two men focused on bilateral cooperation in military and technical sectors, as well as on regional security, international situation and military drills.
The interlocutors further praised the level of military cooperation between the two countries.
Serzh Sargsyan stressed that the Russian official's visit in connection with the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Russia, and the 15th anniversary of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Aid is another proof of consistent strengthening of strategic cooperation between the two countries.
For his turn, the Russian official congratulated the Armenian President and all citizens of Armenia on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the country's independence.
Mr. Serdyukov praised the CSTO military exercises in Armenia, which, he said, are another evidence of close cooperation in the military sphere.
