The court of Yerevan's Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts has postponed today the hearing of the "case of balloons" until September 14. The accused person, Serob Bozoyan who had filled the balloons, failed to appear in court. Serob Bozoyan had given a written undertaking not to leave the republic, which was a measure of restraint against him. Law-enforcement officers did not find Bozoyan at his home in order to serve a subpoena on him. He did not live at the address he gave.

79 out of the 228 victims appeared in court, refusing to speak. They said, however, that several people, rather than one person are probably responsible for the incident.
It should be reminded that a criminal case was opened in connection with the explosion of gas-filled balloons and the subsequent fire during a pre-election event held by Republican party of Armenia (HHK) in Republic Square of Yerevan on May 4.

The person who filled the balloons - Serob Bozoyan was charged under Article 279 Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code - manufacturing or sale of products that do not meet safety standards, as a result of which damage has been done by accident to the health or one or more persons.
During the fire, participants of the event received injuries and burns of various degrees.

Many of those present in the courtroom today were wearing gloves.
