Armenian leader, Iranian official discuss bilateral ties
Serzh Sargsyan received on July 9 the delegation headed by Iran's Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar.
The Armenian leader noted in his speech that the frequent high-level reciprocal visits are an evidence of the bilateral aspiration to further reinforce the Armenian-Iranian friendship and deepen the economic ties. Serzh Sargsyan stressed that during the Yerevan visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the parties reached mutually beneficial agreements on cooperation in various fields.
Serzh Sargsyan and Mostafa Najjar attached importance to the expansion of cooperation between the regions of Armenia and Iran, which, as they said, would further reinforce the mutual trust and deepen Armenian-Iranian relations. in this context, the interlocutors emphasized the role of the Iranian Armenian community.
