RA Defense Ministry condemns Harsnakar incident
Armenia's Defense Ministry strongly condemns the June 17 incident at the Harsnakar Restaurant and attacks on Armenian citizens irrespective of the fact whether the victim is an ordinary person, a soldier or officer of the armed forces.
"A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the incident and there are arrestees," the Ministry said in a statement.
The Defense Ministry follows the investigation and is convinced that the guilty ones s will be brought to justice. The Ministry expresses its support to the injured doctors, their relatives and ensures that it cannot remain indifferent to unbridled behaviour in the society.
As a result of the June 17 brawl at the Harsnakar Restaurant, military doctors Vahe Avetisyan and Artak Bayadyan were hospitalized with serious injuries. Doctor Garik Soghomonyan was transferred to the Central Military Hospital yesterday with skull trauma. Doctors say that their health condition remains unchanged after the incident.
