Soldier dies in car accident in Armenia
A soldier died in Armenia on May 24 on the way to hospital.
According to preliminary reports, Khachatur Milekyan, 20, was taken to the Calouste Gulbenkian Hospital in Gyumri, at around 3:25 pm, with injuries on the face and chest, fracture of the lower jaw (mandible), in a traumatic shock.
Doctor Nahapetyan, who works in the resuscitation department of the hospital, told Gyumri's Tsayg TV that Milekyan stopped breathing 1.5 - 2 minutes before getting to the hospital.
According to official reports, Melikyan was run over by a Kraz vehicle which had been driven to the parking lot by conscript Gagik Hovakimyan, who had just finished maintenance work.
