Police official: Chief of Ararat Police was not beaten
No one has assaulted or beaten the Chief of Police of Ararat city, Karen Khachatryan, a spokesperson for the Armenian Police, Ashot Aharonyan, told A1+.
"The allegations have nothing to do with reality," said the police official.
According to press reports, Karen Khachatryan was to provide Republican Party's victory in Ararat in Sunday's vote; however, he was unable to ensure the promised figures. As a result, the party decided to ‘punish' Khachatryan.
