Congratulatory message of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians on the Day of Tiding and on the occasion of Motherhood and Beauty Day
"It is the Day of the Tiding that our people have proclaimed as the Day of Motherhood and Beauty, and it sets a brilliant example for women and mothers. Today, we say good words to the Holy Virgin and ask for her piety in front of the Son and our Lord, Savior Jesus Christ. This year, on the Day of Tiding, the Resurrection of Our Lord through which mankind inherited the heavenly grace of eternal life reaches to our souls.
On this cherished day, our churches conduct the blessing of women waiting to feel the joy of motherhood, so that mothers and their children are always graced by God, so that the children coming to this world grow with care, are nourished and educated with belief and become good people for their parents, our country and the nation. We pray to God that the women who have received the grace of motherhood be happy and hug their newborn children in peace, and that all women and ladies live a pious and virtuous life in welfare and happiness by the Holy Virgin's example.
We pray that the Lord maintain our Homeland and people in peace and keep our faith, good and just acts."
