Administrative Court to hear Mashtots Park issue
The Administrative Court of Armenia is scheduled to hold a preliminary hearing on the issue of Mashtots Park on April 20.
Heritage Party MPs have filed a complaint to the Administrative Court against the illegal construction of trade kiosks at Mashtots Park. They demand that the Court annul Yerevan Mayor's decision and ban the construction at the park.
Earlier, the police said in a statement that they were not authorized to question the construction permission given by the Mayor and advised appealing to the Administrative Court.
On April 4, a group of environmental activists and hardhats tried to break through the barricades set up by police but they were immediately sent back.
