Yerevan will only remain in memories
"I have been living in Yerevan for the past three years, and I discover something new, unique and brilliant every day. Every city lives with its history and the memory that is transmitted from one generation to the next. Our main purpose is to preserve and transmit to the youth of Yerevan the heart and soul of the Yerevan of the 20th century as a link on the road of preserving the old and creating the new," Director General of ArmenTel CJSC Igor Klimko during a press conference today.
Through the project called "Yerevan: 20th Century", ArmenTel and MediaMax have decided to provide the youth of Armenia with information about the famous buildings of old Yerevan.
Through the project, MediaMax has set up a page called "Yerevan: 20th Century" on its website and has posted photos and videos portraying the architectural buildings of the old and new Yerevan. The first structure is the "Closed Market" (Pak Shuka).
"The materials were provided by citizens, the National Archives of Armenia and the National Film Center of Armenia. I must say that copyright laws are strictly reserved," Director of MediaMax Ara Tadevosyan said.
He also informed that the public will be presented with ten famous sites and structures, including Swan Lake and more.
The project also includes citizens of Yerevan and the events that have taken place in different periods.
