Environmentalists didn’t participate
President of the Public Council Vazgen Manukyan calls on the activists holding an action at Mashtots Park not to leave the park.
Vardan Geravetyan today participated in the discussion on the fate of the park at the Public Council. Why didn't the activists take part in the discussion?
"There was already someone presenting that issue. I am aware that there are activists here, as well as Karine Danielyan. They can raise that issue," environmental activist Artur Avtandilyan told "A1+".
There has not been any construction at the park for the past two days, but that doesn't instill any hope in the environmentalists and citizens concerned with the issue at hand.
"That doesn't mean that we have to put an end to the action and not go to the park," said environmentalist Mariam Sukhudyan.
The environmentalists were cleaning the icy road at the park today.
"If the municipality doesn't do anything, we, as citizen of this country, must do it ourselves," said activist Sevak Kirakosyan.
We remind that Yerevan Municipality has decided to place the stands that were demolished on Abovyan Street at Mashtots Park.
