Serzh Sargsyan discusses issues on elections
Serzh Sargsyan today received Co-Rapporteur of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on Armenia John Prescott.
Sargsyan highly appreciated the constructive relations established with the PACE and John Prescott's direct involvement in that process. Serzh Sargsyan mentioned that certain progress had been made in the field of cooperation after his last meeting with the PACE Co-Rapporteur.
The PACE Co-Rapporteur also underlined that he saw a sharp difference after his first visit. According to him, he had also seen positive changes based on the content of his meetings with Armenia's political figures.
During the meeting, Serzh Sargsyan and the PACE Co-Rapporteur on Armenia touched upon the reforms taking place in the legal-judicial, police systems, human rights protection and the fight against corruption in Armenia, as well as the organizing of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
