Serzh Sargsyan visits YSU
Chairperson of the Board of Yerevan State University Serzh Sargsyan today attended the session of the YSU Board.
The agenda included the YSU Rector's report on activities in 2010-2011, as well as the executive of the university's incomes and expenditures in 2011 and the confirmation of the budget for incomes and expenditures in the 2012 fiscal year.
Before moving on to the agenda, Serzh Sargsyan reminded about several programs that had been introduced after meetings with students of Yerevan State University and young scientists held years ago.
One of those programs was aimed at providing homes to young scientists, educators, lecturers, painters and journalists, and a part of the program has been implemented.
Serzh Sargsyan declared that the first stage of the program would be completed in May 2013, providing 1,300 young intellectuals with suitable apartments.
"The next program was the establishment of a foundation for young scientists. We came to an agreement during the meeting, and the program is in the stage of implementation. In addition to the government's programs, this will also serve as an impetus for young scientists," Serzh Sargsyan said.
Serzh Sargsyan considered the meetings with the youth useful and efficient and reaffirmed his willingness to make those meetings ongoing.
