France against Beckham
French opposition members are against the transfer of British soccer player David Beckham to the PSZH team in Paris.
"Beckham's team", as the group of opposition members has called it, is not discontent with the famous soccer player's quality, but his salary. The 36-year old British mid-fielder has sealed an 18-month deal with PSZH and will be receiving 800,000 Euros a month.
"Soccer players are not the only ones earning that much money. This is a serious issue for France. We suggest setting the maximum amount of salaries in the country," Mayor of Nant, Socialist Jean-Marc Ayro announced.
Leader of the Socialist Party Pierre Moskovich said Beckham's salary didn't correspond to his attributes as a player. According to him, this goes to show the great misbalance in French business.
