S. Sargsyan meets with EURONEST Co-President
Serzh Sargsyan held a meeting with Co-President of EURONEST Kristian Vigenin.
The Armenian leader stressed the importance of Mr. Vigenin's visit to Armenia, saying it was a good opportunity for getting acquainted with present challenges and developments in Armenia and in the region.
Serzh Sargsyan expressed hope that Mr. Vigenin's visit will promote development of Armenia-EU relations.
With regard to parliamentary cooperation between the EU member-states and their eastern neighbors within the framework of the Eastern Partnership project, as well as EURONEST activities, the sides said it is a good platform for promoting dialogue, strengthening ties and cooperation between the member countries.
The EURONEST co-president noted that the results of cooperation between MPs are tangible and the aim of his visit is to enhance the cooperation.
The sides also touched on the reforms underway in Armenia. The Armenian leader stressed that Armenia's ties with the European Union are based on a common-value system. He underlined that reforms in the country are of high significance for the development of Armenia's cooperation with the EU.
