Belarus vows to create conditions for Armenian businessmen

Armenia's Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus, Igor Petrishenko.

The Armenian premier attached importance to the further development and reinforcement of ties with Belarus, as well as implementation of new joint programs.

The parties noted that the current level of trade-economic cooperation and the current number of joint projects does not correspond to the existing opportunities. In this context, the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus informed that the sitting of the Armenian-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission will hold a sitting next month. A business forum will be organized on the sidelines of the forum, which will boost the development of cooperation between the business circles of Armenia and Belarus and implementation of new joint programs.

Igor Petrishenko assured they will ensure favorable conditions for businessmen for making investments in Belarus.

The parties also discussed issues related to the decentralized cooperation, collaboration in the fields of manufacturing of agricultural products and machine industry

The prime minister underscored at the end of the meeting that it was necessary to spare no effort to ensure progress in the development of Armenian-Belarusian relations.
