Hrant Melkumyan among leaders
Three grandmasters are in the lead after the eighth round of the Corsican Chess Circuit 2011. Hrant Melkumyan (Armenia), Krishnan Shashikira (India) and Ivan Cheparinov (Bulgaria) lead the standings with 6,5 points.
They are followed by seven chess players, including Armenia's Avetk Grigoryan (6 points).
In the last round, Melkumyan will face Shashikira. The winner will take the first prize.
Armenia's Aghasi Inants and Vahe Baghdasaryan take 19th and 24th places with 5,5 and 5 points respectively.
