'Obama values Sargsyan's resoluteness'
The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Armenia, John Heffern, presented his credentials to Serzh Sargsyan.
The Armenian leader congratulated Ambassador Heffern on appointment, expressing hope that his diplomatic experience would further expand relations between the two states.
Serzh Sargsyan underlined that our county's relations with the United States serve as a serious impetus for economic development, reinforcement of democracy, and regional stability.
"We are grateful to the United States for the balanced position on issues of vital importance for us. I would like to express gratitude to former Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch for her work," Sargsyan said.
In his turn, Ambassador Heffern emphasized the importance of deepening and developing relations with Armenia.
"President Barack Obama values your resoluteness to solve regional problems and we are willing to continue to work with you in that direction," John Heffern said.
