Armenian Defense Minister off to Brussels

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan left for Brussels on October 5 to attend the sitting of the Defense Ministers of NATO member and partner countries participation in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan.

The sitting will cover issues related to the situation in Afghanistan, the future strategy of the alliance, etc.
The same day, Seyran Ohanyan will participate in the non-official meeting of the Defense Ministers of the countries that contribute to forces to the Regional Command North (RC North) under the German commandership. At the end of the sitting, the participants will adopt a joint communiqué.

On the sidelines of the visit, the Armenian Defense Minister will have bilateral meetings with the Personal Representative of the NATO Secretary General for the South Caucasus and Central Asia, James Appathurai, Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, Admiral James Stavridis, and his counterparts from different countries.
