New council established
Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree to establish a council to coordinate the measures targeted at raising the effectiveness of state economic activity and reformation of the legal acts regulating the economic field of the Republic of Armenia.
The council is created to make proposals regarding the elimination of the provisions hindering the development of the business environment and market economy, improvement and simplification of the services provided to the citizens by the state, improvement of the normative acts regulating the sphere, decrease of the number of inefficient mechanisms.
The council will be chaired by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. The Government has been tasked to approve the statute of the Council within a month.
The Mayor of Yerevan, the President of the Central Bank of Armenia, the Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, the Chairman of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition have been proposed to cooperate with the council.
