Military parade followed by classical music concert
The state commission in charge of preparing for and organizing events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia's independence held a session headed by Prime Minister, chairman of the commission Tigran Sargsyan.
Serzh Sargsyan's Deputy Chief of Staff, the commission chairman's deputy coordinator for festivities Vigen Sargsyan mentioned that the organizing of the festivities was underway and was going according to plan.
On September 21, festive military parade will take place at Republic Square, and a classical music concert with sound and light effects will take place in the evening.
On Independence Day, concerts and exhibitions showcasing Armenia's independence will be held in districts of Yerevan, as well as the provinces and abroad with the slogan "You Are Armenia". His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians will give a patriarchal wish at the St. Gregory the Illuminator Church in Yerevan. There will be external lighting on buildings in Yerevan in light of the anniversary.
During the government session, government officials exchanged views, and the ministers and heads of departments presented the festivities organized by their departments.
The prime minister assigned the ministers and department heads to respond to potential issues in an operative way through partnership, as well as organize the festivities at a high level and according to plan, reports the Government's press service.
