Catholicos leaves for Artsakh

On September 1, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians paid a two-day visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic where he will participate in the events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of NKR's independence.

Accompanying His Holiness on the visit are Prelate of the Armenian Diocese of France, Father, Archbishop Norvan Zakaryan; Prelate of the Armenian Diocese of Nor Nakhichevan and Russia, Father, Bishop Yezras Nersisyan; spiritual leader of the RA Armed Forces, Father, Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan and crosier, Father, Friar Anania Tsaturyan.

Congratulatory message

His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians sent a congratulatory message to NKR President Bako Sahakyan on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the NKR's independence. In the message it is stated in particular: "It gives us pleasure to see that the patriotic people of Artsakh continue to build the nation by overcoming the new challenges and establishing themselves with democratic values that open new horizons for a safe life.

We pray to God to keep Artsakh in progression and grant new achievements to the pious people for the strengthening of the nation."
